Romans 12:1-2 Amp
“I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view
of “all” the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication
of your bodies (presenting all your members and faculties) as a
living sacrifice, holy (devoted, and consecrated) and well pleasing
to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service
and spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world (this age),
(fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs),
but be transformed (changed) by the (entire) renewal of your mind
(by its new ideas and its attitude), so that ye may prove (for yourselves)
what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the
same which is good and acceptable and perfect (in His sight for
you).
Each day God allows us to see, we should
present our bodies to Him (a vessel of honor, sanctified, and available
for the master’s use. 2 Timothy 2:21) knowing that our life,
our very being belongs to Him. We were made to praise, worship and
magnify Him daily. We should give Him our minds and allow Him to
transform our way of thinking, because if we can change our negative
(stinking thinking) we can change our lives.
We are self-willed people; we do what
we want, when we want, how we want. Where has this gotten us? Are
we any better because of this way of thinking? However as we submit
our wills to God, He transforms us and renews our way of thinking
(Philippians 4:8). Will our circumstances change? No, not all of
the time, but God, as we allow Him, He will change us (our way of
thinking and responding) for our circumstances so that we are equipped
for the process to fulfill our purpose.
Psalm
37:5-7
Today is the first day of the rest of
your life. Commit your ways to the Lord, trust Him, rest in Him
and watch Him work in your life.
